W. Robert "Bob" Beach

W. Robert (Bob) Beach, Beloved husband of 35 years to Kay Sowa-Beach. Dear father of Robert Shane (Lynn) Beach of Libertyville, IL and Tracee Marie (Jeff) Harrington of Owasso, OK. Loving grandfather of Laura Harrington and Christian Jump. Honorary Grandfather to Matt Jachec, Katie (Brian) Potesta, Christyn Champagne, Jennifer Nees, and the late Jeff Harrington Jr. Preceded in death by his parents Rose and Walter Beach of Salisbury, MD. Fond brother of Marilyn R. (the late Ernie) Pope and Ronald D. Beach of Salisbury, MD. He was loved by many nephews and nieces.

Bob was born in Jersey City, NJ and spent his formative years in Hagerstown, MD. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He spent time in Tulsa, OK, Huntington Beach, CA and Sparta, NJ prior to settling in Barrington, IL. Bob loved to play golf. Although he was unable to participate lately, he enjoyed the game as a consummate spectator and was noted for his proficiency with the “foot wedge”. Bob enjoyed entertaining friends, barbequing, and celebrating life, especially with a good cigar. He retired in 2012 from Interactive Health Services after 20 years. Bob was a Sales Executive at A.D.P. Dealer Services where many of his lifelong friendships were established. He was an active participant with many charitable organizations.Friends are invited to celebrate and commemorate Bob Beach on Friday evening, June 3rd,2016 at Gianni’s Café, 18 West Station Street, Palatine, IL 60067. Join us between the hours of 5:30 and 9:30. Price of admission is a “Beach Story” to share with the group.
