Beloved son of Darlene (Robert) Cosey and William Foster McGaughey Jr.; loving father of Sophia Crutcher, Nakita Crutcher, Joshua Alexander, Christina Sartin, Prince Sartin and Pierre Sartin; dear brother of Laurie McGaughey, Raegen McGaughey and Alexandria McGaughey; fond nephew, uncle and cousin to many.
William was a master craftsman, skilled construction worker, and shipmate. He enjoyed watching and playing sports with a special passion for baseball and roller skating. He was an excellent skater. William was also an amazing cook and a self-proclaimed chef. William's memory will be cherished by many other relatives and extended family members and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A pre-past/visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL. followed by a chapel service at 12:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
