I only recently learned of Bill's passing from seeing that Masses at St. Cajetan were being offered for him. I now  know why I have not seen him at 4PM Mass on Saturdays.  I have missed seeing him. I knew Bill only for about 40 years from the St. Cajetan Holy Name Society.  He was a wonderful man.  From a fellow parishoner,  Pat Urbut

As Ed Kane would say" I will miss you my old pal" Bill was a wonderful long time friend and, work cohort. He and his beautiful wife were family friends who often invited us to celebrate St. Patricks Day along with their many friends. Hackneys up north was a meeting spot for us. He was a great man! Our warmest thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

We would like to extend our sincere sympathies on Bill's passing.  Bill has been our next door neighbor since we moved in 20 years ago.  We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor.  We have enjoyed many parties and dinners that he hosted and many of his signature ‘Old Fashioned” cocktails.  Bill took great pride in his family, his service to his country and his Irish heritage.  We already miss having him around.

We are very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a good family man and a great neighbor. The memory of block parties, rib fests and just sitting out and talking and laughing will be with us all forever. He had a great sense of humor and was quick to laugh. Bill will be missed by both his family and friends. 110th street has lost an icon. May he rest in peace.

Bill was a great guy and a great neighbor. He and your mom were always ready to join in the fun.  And he was so proud of his daughters! I think everyone on the block feels they know all of you very well just from hearing all the stories about you from Bill. The block won't be the same without him!
