Alexander was always so full of joy, happiness, and excitement. The name Alexander means ‘Defender of the People’ and his life and legacy are a reflection of his character and love for others. Alexander loved his family, his friends, and his community and had so much care and compassion.
At Shoal Creek Elementary School, Alexander lived the school's motto "Work Hard Be Kind". Always looking up to his brother Nicholas, Alexander played Little League baseball, Pop Warner football, and lacrosse. Alexander was a great teammate and a friend, and he was quick to share how warm his heart felt when he would give back to the community and helped teach lacrosse to the Special Olympians at the summer lacrosse clinics.
Alexander was a three-year letterman in lacrosse and graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School in 2015. He loved his home so much that when researching colleges, his parents would tease that he would attend the ‘University of Chestnut Hill’ (his boyhood home for 18 years). However, it was being near to his big brother that compelled Alexander to leave home and attend Arizona State University.
At ASU, Alexander was a proud member of Chi Phi Fraternity and befriended everyone he met. Just like the young man he was becoming, his closet transitioned from a boy to a man making room for his favorite Vans, but now including Khaki Pants, Fraternity Swag, and a few pairs of Ray-ban sunglasses.
Alexander was looking forward to graduating from ASU in May 2019. In preparation he spent seven weeks this summer with his brother, Nicholas, in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China, interning at a large electronics manufacturer making new friends and gaining valuable learning along the way. Alexander was enjoying the rest of his summer before his senior year with his girlfriend Sara and his buddies, hopping back and forth between Tempe and San Diego going to the beach, the zoo, the fair, Disneyland, or just chilling at home with those he loved most.
Alexander, we are so proud of you, your accomplishments, your friendships and the lives you touched. You had a gift for writing the most sincere and heartfelt greeting cards and texts - that always warmed our heart, made us smile, and brought tears of happiness to our eyes. You are our greatest treasure and we are grateful for the twenty-one years we shared with you. Your beautiful memory will live on in our hearts for eternity.
We are so proud to have you as a son, a brother, and a friend - and now the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and we draw comfort that you are with your Father. Keep that big smile, spreading your joy and happiness, and making everyone feel so good.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Alexander's name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation - San Diego.
