He is survived by his wife, Martha H. Alberts, daughter, Karen Downey, daughter, Christine Avella, daughter, Gina Garcia, son, Brian Alberts, relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carlsbad, California.
Mr. Alberts' final resting place will be Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery in Oceanside, California.
