They fell in love quickly and married nine months later. They raised two children, Jennifer, born in 1970 and Jason, born in 1971.
Fred was an impressive athlete. He played basketball and baseball throughout high school and college. He continued to play softball with friends and family for many years. His favorite basketball team was The Lakers and enjoyed watching college football. He loved listening to oldies music, especially 1960’s and 70’srock and roll. Fred was a big movie buff, especially old movies. He encouraged his children and grandchildren to watch with him, he loved to explain to us why “this movie” is so great.
Fred was in the banking industry for 43 years, from 1969 until his retirement in 2012. He has a passion for coin collecting. At a young age he started collecting Unites States coins, it was his favorite pastime. He loved hunting down rare coins and adding it to his books. With his wife Ginger, they traveled all over the world, visiting beautiful places. In 1998, along with his wife and his siblings, they traveled to Germany to visit their heritage. It was an amazing experience to see where their parents came from.
Fred had a beautiful smile and fantastic laugh; he was quite the jokester. He was a kind and compassionate husband and father. His number one priority was always his family, he would spend every weekend at home with his family working on some project or just watch a game on TV.
