Armando (Al) was born October 20, 1930, to Candelario and Adela (Parra) Quintana in El Paso, TX. He went to meet the Lord on September 9, 2021, in Escondido, CA., surrounded by his family. He was a retired Professional Civil Engineer and worked for the State of California in numerous positions, retiring in 1992 after 35 years of service.
Al met his wife, Patsy (Medeiros) Quintana, in Honolulu while serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, and they were married for 67 years. He is survived by Patsy and their two sons, Michael and Richard, daughter-in-law Cheryl, siblings Rose Bueno and Fernando Quintana, and five grandchildren. Al is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Herminia Villegas and Marina Marshall.
Services will be held on October 5, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside, CA, with burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe, HI.
