Benjamin George Tubbs Jr., age 65, of Escondido, California passed away on Sunday May 12, 2019. Benjamin was born November 14, 1953 in Camp Pendleton, California.

Benny was the type of person who made friends easily. I saw this countless times through the years where he would meet a new person and to him he had a new friend and would act towards that person like a friend. He was always happy and usually had a smile on his face. He loved music, mainly The Beatles, he was a life time fan. He enjoyed traveling to see friend and relatives and just to see all the great things all around this great county of ours . He especially liked to visit the Crazy Horse monument in the black hills near Mt Rushmore. As my bother he enriched my life more than I can put into words. I will miss him for the rest of my life. I wish he did not have to leave us,

Benjamin is survived by; brother Larry Scott Tubbs; cousins Donna Sandoval and Robert Falk.

A Viewing for Benjamin will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California 92054. A Celebration of Life and reception will occur Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California.

I have known Benny for as long as I can remember - and he never forgot me or my family. He was so full of love and happiness - it is sad to think he is not with us any more. I first knew Benny at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Years later I used to see him when he was getting his haircut by Debbi at Daniel & Company - and the last time I saw him was at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Oceanside. I hope he knows how special he was to so many people. RIP Benny. You were loved by many...me included!

One of the many Beatles concerts we got to listen to! Benny on vocals and Neal and his Dad on guitar. Fun times!!

We will miss Benny and all the fun times he brought to our family. He so loved the Beatles and loved sharing their songs with us. He always loved to tell the story about the bull in the barn that he thought it should be let out! (He and Dad will now be able to continue that discussion! haha). When he visited the farm there was not a day that he didn't get a little ride on the lawn mower, whether driving "slowly" or just pretending to drive! Here's a photo of his last visit at cousin Pete's barn, and checking out his John Deere! We always looked forward to his visits and his fun loving nature. We will miss your silly stories and all those warm hugs and kisses. We love you cuz and will miss you dearly!
