

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Tilman Sorrow who was a Wichita Lineman from 1890-1930 on August 26, 1945 in Pratt, Kansas, mother, Katie Mae Beauchamp Sorrow on November 18, 1941 in Pratt, Kansas, husband, Chester Allen Bishop March 10, 1969 in Encinitas, California, grandfather, Adolphus Beauchamp and, great-grandfather, John Beauchamp who was the 1st white man to own Stone Mountain in Georgia.
She is survived by her twin sons, John Bishop and Thomas (Tom) Bishop, three grandchildren, and next oldest sister, Ruth Ayres in Florida.
A resident of Encinitas for 72 years, 64 of those years at the same location. Married September 21 1940 in Kingman, Kansas before coming to Encinitas in 1941. Resided on 3rd Street near the corner of 3rd & D until 2005. Staying in Encinitas she moved into the Atria Assisted Living Facility until recently relocating into the Encinitas Nursing Rehab Facility until her passing.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 12:30pm at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California.
Mrs. Bishop's final resting place will be next to her husband at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California.
