Born on February 27, 1939, in Bettiah, Bihar, India, Dr.Varma’s life began under challenging circumstances, as he lost his father, Rudreshwari Prasad Varma, a young medical doctor, in a tragic train accident before his birth. Dr. Varma earned his degree in physical chemistry from Patna University in 1959.
His career started as a professor of chemistry at Ranchi University, where he also met his wife, Anjana. His significant contributions in the field of battery technology at the National Metallurgical Laboratory in Jamshedpur led to two international patents and his doctorate from Ranchi University.
In 1971, Dr. Varma moved to the United States, embarking on a challenging journey that began with humble beginnings in New York City. He demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability, working multiple jobs before securing a position in his field. His career in the battery industry was marked by numerous patents and progressive roles, culminating in the presidency of a battery company. Later, he ventured into business and eventually founded his own company in 1997, providing batteries to various corporations and the U.S. Government.
Dr. Varma was a beacon of patience, wisdom, and support, especially to his three sons, Sandeep, Vipul, and Sankalp, as they navigated their paths in life.
