Born on March 20, 1945, in Chiquilistlán, Jalisco, Carolina was the beloved daughter of Margarita Garcia and Plutarco Sandoval. In 1962, she married the love of her life, Manuel Portillos, and together they built a beautiful life, raising three children: Terry, Glen, and Patrice.
Carolina devoted her heart and time to her family, cherishing her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found joy in simple pleasures—peaceful walks and tending to her garden, which reflected her nurturing spirit. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will forever remain her greatest legacy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Manuel; her children, Terry Chavez, Glen Portillos, and Patrice Agosto; her siblings, Dolores (Sandoval) Ballard, Victor Sandoval, and Sandra (Sandoval) Nunez; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In loving memory, the family will host a Celebration of Life for close friends and family on Saturday, December 13th at 1:00 PM at her sister Dolores’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to your favorite charity in Carolina’s honor
