It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Anderson, who left this world on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the age of 53. He was called home to find eternal rest in God’s embrace, and to join all his other loved ones who have passed before him.
Chris was born on January 23, 1972, at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California. Beginning his professional journey at Hewlett-Packard, he quickly became an accomplished engineer in his field. For eighteen years, he was a dedicated Engineering Technician at Kyocera America Inc., highly esteemed by his colleagues and peers. He was known for his kindness, his unwavering support for those he loved, and his ability to reassure others never to worry about him even in the toughest of times. He had a heart that knew no bounds, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Whether through his hobbies like camping, off-roading, cooking, spending quality time with his family and friends, and caring for his beloved feline companion, Winston, he touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his mother, Lupé Van Roy, and his stepfather, Harold Van Roy. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Alan and Alaina Anderson, his niece Delaney, and his nephews Daniel and Ayden Duren. Additionally, by his aunts and uncles, Marie and Dale Warner, Eloise and David Vigliotti, and Gregg Rainey, along with his cousins Robert Salinas and Brian Vigliotti. He is also survived by his stepbrothers, Tom, Jim, Ken, Glenn, Bill, and Larry Van Roy. In addition, he is survived by his godson Lance Shelton, along with countless friends who will cherish his memory forever. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will live on in the stories we share, the love he gave, and the impact he made on each of our lives.
He was a son, a brother, a nephew, a cousin, a best friend, and a light in the lives of all who knew him.
