August 14, 1931 – May 14, 2018
Claire Levin (born Claire Makorow) passed away on 14 May 2018, when she left this earth to be reunited with her husband Victor, the love of her life in heaven. Claire was born to Abe and Lillian Makorow on 14 August 1931 in Los Angeles California. Claire had one brother, Al, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Boyle Heights California and was active in the Girls Rifle and Drill Team where she earned the rank of Lieutenant. Claire and Victor were married for 62 years before he passed away in 2014. Claire was a dedicated Navy wife for 20 of those years. After Victor retired they enjoyed traveling the world together. Claire was the kindest, most thoughtful, generous, selfless, caring and loving person you could ever meet. She loved, respected and accepted everyone and was truly beautiful, both inside and out. She loved her family more than anything and always had a big smile when surrounded by them. She is survived by her children, Patricia, Richard (Cynthia), James (Joni), Thomas (Tiffanie) and Carole, 12 grand children and their significant others, eight great grand children, with one more due later this year as well as other extended family and friends.
