Clifford Vincent Kane passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the age of 94. He died peacefully in his sleep at home, surrounded by his loving family. His lighthearted sense of humor and deep-seated caring nature will be missed.
Cliff retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant after 30 years in the Marine Corps, serving in Korea, Okinawa & Vietnam. Semper Fi! He then went on to obtain his GED and AA degree. He worked in private security until his well-deserved retirement.
Cliff lived a fulfilling life. He enjoyed spending time with his expansive and fun-loving family, going to the beach, cheering for the Padres and the Chargers, rooting for his children and grandchildren at every school or sporting event, volunteering with multiple organizations, and his favorite pastime of feeding the ducks at a local park.
Clifford is survived by his sons, Clifford, John, and Michael Kane; daughters, Patricia Jervik, Valerie Haro, Paula Sachs, Kathy Dinwiddie, and Jennifer Boock; their spouses, twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and his brother, Donald Kane. He was preceded in death by Dorothy, his loving wife of 53 years, his son Robert, his granddaughter Danielle, and his great-grandson Joseph.
Cliff’s unwavering dedication to his family, his outstanding military service, and his generous spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral services will take place at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054. The viewing will be on Saturday, November 18 from 4-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. The funeral service will be on Sunday, November 19 at 10 a.m. followed by the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Salvation Army, or a military-related charity in Clifford’s memory.
