He is survived by his son, Gary McFarland, family, relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:00pm at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel followed by military honors at flag pole.

Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
