Dave was a great guy to know and a good friend, I remember I had just got out of the Navy and I was looking for a job, When he gave me my interview we talked about the Navy supply system and the like, I guess he liked me so he gave me the job. Dave was a great supporter of my Boy Scout Troop in Vista, at St Frances Church. He was always there to lend a ear for advise, I worked for Dave for 6 Yrs Before I left the company. Went back on active duty in the Army Untill my retirement 1997 at Ft Ben Harrison,Indiana, To sum Dave up; He had his serious side too, friend, adviser, and a great boss to work for. I'm sorry I just now found out about his passing, I would of been there for him like he was for me. We will see each other one day:) where all old soldiers go:::Guarding Heavens Gates.

I was perusing the nctimes website and clicked on the obts and I couldn't believe that I saw Dave's name. I worked for him on and off at Hughes Aircraft Company for 9 years. I was a data entry clerk in the stock room. I have many happy & interesting memories working with him. I've meant you Hatsue, you probably don't remember me. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family and friends in their loss. My name is Ginny Batistic, but it was Ginny Olson when I worked for him.
