Although I didn’t have the opportunity to know him for very long before I retired, I remember how kind he was to everyone he met. He was a wonderful young man who was always willing to help others and bring a smile and a little joy to their day. My heart goes out to his family for the loss of their son at such a young age. I hope you can feel the love and support of everyone around you during this difficult time.

I arrived at North Coastal FRC in July and outside my office sat David, Manny and Amanda.  As I went about my day, I had the pleasure of hearing them tease, joke and laugh with one another.  I would often find myself smiling as I listened to their banter while they worked.  There was such a natural ease between them, the kind of friendship where they could give each other a hard time, share a laugh, and still somehow get the work done.  Their conversations and playful teasing became a familiar and comforting part of my day.  

Even when I wasn't part of the conversation, I enjoyed hearing them interact.  It was clear there was genuine friendship and affection underneath all the joking.  Those little moments of laughter are the things that make a workplace feel more than just where we come to work.  

I feel fortunate to have been there to witness some of these moments and to have known David.  Right away he made me feel welcomed.  Sitting here I see he will be missed.  The laughter the joy he brought to those around him.  To his parents you raised a wonderful, kind caring son.  I wish you thoughts of peace and comfort.

I had the privilege of working with David for 10 years, and during that time he became such a familiar and important part of our workplace. It is hard to imagine the office without him.

David always had a smile on his face, and he had the quirkiest personality. He was kind, dependable, and one of the most dedicated colleagues I have ever worked with. No matter what I needed from his department, I knew I could depend on him. If he told me something would be taken care of, I never had to worry about it again. I knew it would be done.

I especially enjoyed the times when I would come into the office and get a chance to see him, say hello, catch up, and ask how life was going. Those were simple moments, but they were always something I enjoyed, and it is going to be very sad walking into the office and not seeing him there.

I truly valued David, not only as a colleague, but as a person. He was just one of those people you were always happy to see, and his absence is going to be felt by so many of us.

I am very grateful that I had the chance to know him and work alongside him for so many years. He will be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone who loved him.

I just found out about your passing and I am truly in shock! David was such a valued and respected co worker always carrying a bright smile on his face and great attitude. David, I can’t believe this happened I’m am truly shocked and sad, I just want to say thank you for teaching me how to do my job since day one I started working at the office as your backup you thought me with patience and if I needed help with something you were there i even told you to not leave me alone at work because I didn’t want to mess anything up and you would just smile and say you’ll do fine, I remember you telling me you were going on a cruise in September and I was going to be doing the job by myself and I was soo nervous but I just want to say thank you for teaching me many things I didn’t know you will be missed and I’ll never forget you David, when i get back to work your seat will be empty and I won’t have any one to talk to because you sat in front of me but in my mind I’ll just say your not here because you went a your cruise ……  you will be missed we will miss those fun facts every Friday and I will always remember how happy you got when I bought you your apple fritter and the only thing missing was a cup of coffee, I just hope god gives your family the strength and continue without your presence ❤️‍🩹 hasta luego amigo…..

I literally just found out this news 20 minutes ago.. I remember working with this kid in the office we would always talk about random stuff and he was always so nice and willing to talk to me.. Unfortunately the last time I saw him was a year and a half ago when I transferred to Kearny mesa.. My condolences go out to his family and friends and the whole north coastal office.. David was an amazing person and the unexpectedness of this loss makes it all the more heartbreaking. You will be missed friend, and I personally will miss your "observations". David was more than just my coworker he was one of my best friends in the office. Him, Manny and I had our own little family unit upstairs and our own inside jokes. Everyday I look forward to seeing what shade of blue polo he would wear. I will miss him tremendously and will always see his big smile and hear his contagious laugh. I have so many memories I could share but my heart is aching. Sending all the prayers I can his family way and know you raised a wonderful son who made a huge impact on an office full of people for over 10 years.

Your passing came so abruptly and many of us are still in shock. We always lose the best people before their time. We appreciate all your love and dedication to your craft and making everyones life better. Its not easy having as strong of a presence as you did and you can never be replaced. We miss you, and I hope whereever you are, its somewhere beautiful.

So sorry for your loss.  Have known David from working at the County.  Just sent him a TEAMS message not too long ago.  Hard to believe.  RIP David.  You will be missed.

It was my good fortune to sit near David at the County and experience daily his kindness and humor and warmth and intelligence. His presence always made my day so much better.  We missed him so much when he was off on a cruise and looked forward to hearing about the adventures when he got back. David was an exceptional person and my life is so much richer because of his open heart and generous spirit. I'm going to miss you so much, my work brother. Rest in peace until we see each other again. Your kindness to me always will never be forgotten.
