Dora Alvarado

She resided in Vista, California most of her life. Dora attended grade school and high school in Vista. She grew up in the Vista Barrio with her parents, brothers and sisters. Dora was friendly, out going and made many friends during her lifetime.

On October 11, 1954, she married Ralph Alvarado in Yuma, Arizona. They had four children together; Ralph Jr, Samuel, Priscilla and Brenda. In 1958, Dora and Ralph moved their family to Huntington Beach, California. Dora loved and cared for her family. She was a homemaker and excellent cook. Dora constantly kept her home very neat and clean.

In August of 1970, Dora and Ralph relocated to Vista where they built a new home on an acre plot. Many family gatherings, holidays, celebrations and weekend barbeques occurred at the family home. She was employed at several dry cleaner stores located in North San Diego County. She received much pleasure spending time in her garden of fruit trees and flowers. Dora particularly took extra care of her roses, orchids and plumerias.

Dora has seven grandchildren: Summer Trujillo, Michael Chance, Larry Chance, Melanie Solo, Stephanie Solis, Krystle Gonzalez and Megan Rosales. She also has fifteen great grandchildren.

In October of 2016, Dora experienced a major stroke. She was cared for in a skilled nursing facility. At 83 years of age, Dora passed away peacefully on February 16, 2021.

A viewing but, is restricted to 35 persons and only by invitation due to COVID-19 restrictions.

She will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends.
