Edelmira Alvarez Valdovinos

She was born in Petatlan, Guerrero Mexico on March 20, 1939 the oldest of eleven children born to Crisoforo Alvarez and Belen Rodriguez Alvarez. She worked many tirelessly hours to ensure her children did not do without.

She was very passionate about her roses and her church. She made it a point to call her loved ones for their birthdays. Edelmira was a beloved and proud Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Angelina Alvarez Hughey and great grandson Austin J. Leslie. She leaves behind a son Angel Imer Valdovinos & wife Vera, daughter Red Raven Alex Valdovino Elkhoury & husband Rami, daughter Zulim Elizabeth Valdovinos, daughter Gladys Valdovinos, Grandchildren Nora Reine Valdovinos Leslie (Jeffrey), Christopher Angelo Valdovinos (Mollie), Anthony Ray Valdovinos (Melody), Raven Elkhoury (Alex), Elie Devereaux (Kaylee) and great grandchildren Victoria R. Leslie, Nicholas A. Leslie, Olivia R. Valdovinos, Amelia R. Valdovinos, Isabella R. Valdovinos, Romulus A. Valdovinos, and Aiyla Elkhoury.

She leaves us all with her legacy of kindness, generosity, and abundant Love for family that will endure generations.

The family would like to thank the nurses of Calstro Hospice who provided our mother with care, comfort and compassion in her final days.

An Interment Service will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary and Crematory, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054, US, on March 19, 2026, from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm.
