Ethel was preceded in death by her father, Cyril Arthur Popplestone, mother, Lara May Popplestone, first husband, Gordon Thomas Shaw, brother, C. Donald Popplestone, brother, C. Howard Popplestone, son, David Caldwell, Paul Caldwell, and daughter, Beverly Wheatcroft (Caldwell).

She is survived by her husband, Howard Caldwell, son, Kenneth Gordon Shaw, daughter-in-law Melvena (Nena) Shaw, granddaughter, Michelle Ann Shaw - Johns, grandson-in-law, Edwin S. Johns, grandson, Michael James Shaw, grandduaghter-in-law, Shanna S. Shaw, great-granddaughter, Christal Ann Johns, great-grandson, Brandon Scott Johns, , son, Ken Caldwell, daughter-in-law, Linda Caldwell, grandson, Aaron Caldwell, granddaughter, Corrina Sullivan (Caldwell), son-in-law, Craig Wheatcroft, grandson, Kyle Wheatcroft, great-grandson, Logan Wheatcroft, granddaughter, Alissa Ullrich (Wheatcroft), grandson, Derek Wheatcroft, granddaughter, Rochelle Wheatcroft.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Eternal Hills Memorial Chapel in Oceanside, California.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Eternal Hills Memorial Chapel in Oceanside, California.

Mrs. Ethel Shaw Caldwell's final resting place will be Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California.
