Felisa was born on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. She immigrated to the United States with her first husband and eventually settled in San Bernardino, California, where she worked for the United States Air Force as a civilian employee specialist.
She met her current husband, Loren Baker, in January 1990 while he was employed in the Office of the Air Force Judge Advocate General at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino.
After Norton Air Force Base closed in April 1994, Felisa and Loren married but were forced to live apart due to the base closure until 2003. Felisa went to work for the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton after Norton closed and remained there until her retirement in July 2012.
Felisa was a devoted member of her church and served as the financial officer for her local congregation for more than 36 years, both in Riverside and Vista.
She was a beautiful person, often generous to a fault. Felisa is survived by her husband, Loren; numerous brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews in both the United States and the Philippines; and her beloved “fur baby,” Earl the tomcat.
We are all better for having known her. She is now with the Lord.
Final resting place will be at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside.
