Flordelys Melocoton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on October 24, 2020. She was born on October 14, 1939 in Manila, Phillipines to Napaleon and Magdalena Marasigan. She graduated from Manila Central University with a Doctor of medicine in Dentistry. She practiced for 10 years until she immigrated to the United States in 1972 and settled in Los Angeles, California. In 1977, set up by mutual friends, Flordelys met the love of her life Thomas Melocoton then married 6 months later. They resided in Maywood, California where their 2 daughters Joyce and Faye were born then a few years later they moved to Riverside, California where they lived for the next 20 years. Her first grandchild Hemma was born in 2006 then her second grandchild Ava in 2009. She truly enjoyed watching them grow. In 2010, Flordelys and Thomas began their retired lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Flordelys enjoyed cooking her infamous lumpias and her delicious brownies. She took pride in caring for all of her family especially her granddaughters Hemma and Ava. She was known by all as a thoughtful and caring person who mailed cards to those she loved. She is survived by her husband Thomas, daughters Joyce and Faye, son-in law Danny, and 2 granddaughters Hemma and Ava.
Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Vista with burial to follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside on November 20, 2020 beginning at 11am
