Frank Elton Daggett was born on October 12, 1921 in Choteau, MT. He was the only child of Frank and Helen Daggett. During his childhood, his family moved to San Gabriel, CA. He graduated from Alhambra High School in 1939.
During World War II, Frank enlisted in the Navy and was trained as an aviation machinist’s mate and a pilot cadet. He transported aircraft throughout the United States, from the manufacturers to US bases for deployment to the European theatre.
He married his sweetheart, Louise Dutton, in May 1945 and was the doting father to his three daughters and loving grandfather to his grandson.
Frank worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years and helped to build the engines that took man into space. He also helped tutor countless neighborhood children in math and science.
Frank and Louise enjoyed camping throughout Canada, the US, and Mexico. They traveled numerous times to Europe, and particularly enjoyed Britain and Spain. After the passing of Louise in 2006, Frank continued to travel alone and also with his daughters. His fondest memories were of cruising the rivers of Europe. He had the eye and heart of an artist and enjoyed painting many scenes from his travels.
Surviving Frank are his daughters, Marcia Huse (husband, Jim) of Silver City, NM; Denise Daggett (husband Greg Gehrich) of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, and Lorrie Daggett of San Diego, CA. Frank leaves behind one grandson, Brian Daggett to carry on the Daggett name and gentlemanly honor.
