George Edward Johnson

George Edward Johnson passed away peacefully at home with family on Sunday, November 30, 2025. George fought his battle of stage 4 pancreatic cancer that spread for as long as he could. He is no longer in pain and is now at home with our Heavenly Father. Dad didn’t want to hear the words, “I’m sorry”, so if you care to leave some sentiments please don’t say I’m sorry.

There will be a Service of Remembrance on Monday, December 29th from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Walker Chapel AME Church, 1415 Laurel Street, Oceanside, CA 92054. At this time if there were any stories, pictures, proclamations or anything you wanted to share about dad, you can at that time. On Tuesday, December 30th from 9:00am-10:00am at Friendly Church Of God In Christ, 1836 Dixie Street, Oceanside, CA 92054, will be dad’s funeral. Immediately following the funeral will be the repast in the fellowship hall of Friendly. A Military Tribute will conclude the days celebration of life with, folding of the flag, and final salute will be held at 2:00 pm at the Miramar National Cemetery 5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122.

This is a tough time for our family BUT GOD is holding us down and has up-girded us in his loving arms. God is our rock and we stand on His word and promises. Just continue to pray with us and for us. We thank you in advance for allowing us time to grieve. We thank you for sharing your love, support and concerns. May God continue to bless you and your families 🙏🏽
