Georgia Mary Cal was born May 23, 1933 in Scottsboro, Alabama to her parents William and Parlee Knowles. Georgia attended Howard High School in Chattanooga, Tennesee. On January 12, 2020 heaven gained another angel.
Georgia was married to John H. Cal and they had five children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Thomas Knowles and three sisters Dorothy Knowles, Sarah Jones and Juanita Howard, and her eldest daughter Doritha Cook. She leaves behind a sister, Patricia Tomlin of Chattanooga, Tennesee, a son, Roland Jackson of Chattanooga, Tennesee, three daughters Donitha Bessard of Oceanside, California, Joyce Averhart of Murrieta, California and Anita Holloway of Oceanside, California. We are grateful to her granddaughter Valencia Horton for taking care of her until her passing. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life for Georgia will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California 92054.
