Gloria Marie (Gaynor) Wittendorfer, 100, passed away on December 27, 2021 in Carlsbad, CA. She was born on October 19, 1921 in the Bronx, New York to Lillian M. Gaynor and Thomas F. Gaynor. Her family moved to northern New Jersey where she lived until 1968. She married Arthur A. Wittendorfer in January 1943 and they had two children. In 1968 the family moved to southern California. Gloria lived in Carlsbad for 40 years and was actively involved in the Women's Club of Carlsbad and the North County Concert Association.
Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Tony Loeffler of Carlsbad and son and daughter-in-law Kurt and Susana Wittendorfer of Ridgecrest, five grandchildren and five great-grandsons. She is also survived by her sister Joan McKnight of Anaheim, nieces, a nephew and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for January 30th at 1 pm at Eternal Hills Mortuary. Inurnment will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at a later date, where she will join her husband Arthur. Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
