Apa, entre Usted y yo, we know I'm your favorite. We spent hours doing the Bible studies since the time when we lived at Campeone's house.  We would spend endless hours in la casita down the road from the house. We would read the studies together and I would help you research. I have taught my kids your teachings of God and they will teach their children.  We will always tell Noah how much you loved him. Until I see you again. I will miss. Pansis

My father was my Moses, A man who gave me  the greatest gift a father can give  his son , that was  the word of God. Dad I will miss you dearly. You have shown me how to be faithful , in the lord strong and courageous .i will always remember the special times we spent together .Dad rest in peace wait on the Lord . Love you son Elias

Will love and miss from now until forever.

Loving, Faithful, Compassionate, Giving, and Disciplined are words that would describe our father; they are words that he lived by each day of his life.  Our dad was born in the small town El Limon, in the state of Jalisco, on April 23, 1919. He witnessed a lot through his lifetime, a world ravaged by wars, the Great Depression, and the loss of both parents when he was a young boy. Perhaps this is what made him such a strong man, or maybe it was a calling in life, one that he would come to realize in his later years.

He met our mother as a teenager back in Guadalajara, however their lives would take different paths until they met again in Tijuana in the 1950's. They married and together raised nine children, Julia, Angela, Mario, Maria (Gena), Esther, Danny, Elias, Barbarita, and Andres.  

Our father worked hard to provide for his family, at first as a laborer, a then for the government guarding executive officials. It was around 1958 that he came to realize his purpose in life; it was to serve the Lord.  Although he enjoyed his job, he came to realize he could not serve both, so he chose God. 

For the last fifty years he spread the word of the Lord, and his congregation reached the hundreds. In 1960 our father immigrated to the United States in search of a better life to raise his children. He worked tirelessly to earn enough money to bring the entire family, and in 1965 we were together once again, ultimately settling in the small “East Side” community of Oceanside. 

Dad loved his children, but if there was anything he loved more, it was his grandchildren, and even more than that, his great-grandchildren. To be honest, he loved us all equally, but dad did have this unique quality, that he made each and every one of us feel as if we were the most important person to him. 

A few years ago our dad traveled back home to Guadalajara; and after 72 years, the villages where he grew up were the same as he recalled from when he was a child; in fact, he was even able to reconnect with a few childhood friends. Just recently he shared with us that some of his ancestors were from Italy, and if his health allowed it, he would love to visit.

In December our father was diagnosed with cancer, and he battled this disease for the last four months. It was apparent that the treatment wasn't helping, and his health continued to deteriorate. His children stayed at his side around the clock, and on evenings and weekends, friends and family members from as far as Mexico filled the halls and the outdoor patio, waiting for their turn to spend precious time with him.

April 23rd will always be a special day for this family. For it was 93 years ago that God gave our dad the gift of life; and it was 93 years later on that same date, April 23, Our Lord called our dad to rest until he can be given the gift of eternal life.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In Our Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Ourself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”   (John 14:1-4)

We Love you Dad and miss you

I did not know him personally but I experienced the great man he was through his daughters. Many blessings for the entire family. For ur beautiful dad is now enjoying the wonderful presence of Lord and  awaits for each one of you. Love Mina.

Si me quieres tu seras? La reina de mi coranzon! Thats what my dad use to tell me, when I was sad or in trouble with my mom. I love and miss him...But I know he's in a better place. Love you Barbarita......
