Although we never had the privilege of meeting Heinz, reading the tributes paid to him he was obviously very respected, admired and loved, a true gentleman,of whom we are sure you will have many happy memories.  Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.  Love Kathie and Keith.

Heinz was an amazing man of principles; and he willingly and courageously shared them with everyone. We will miss him dearly!

I learned so much from Heinz about living in Germany during WWII, the German military, the stock market, and many other things. He talked to my son and grandsons about WWII, which give them a good perspective. He was patient with their questions--mine, too. If I had to describe Heinz in a few words, it would be, "He was a good man." That to me is a great compliment.

Heinz was such a first-class person. I enjoyed many conversations with him at family gatherings. He always had something encouraging to say and with great insight. He will be missed. Helen, my thoughts and prayers go out to you.

The world is a smaller place without Heinz. He was warm and gracious in every way and such a pleasure to be around. We will smile and think of him often in the years to come.

Heinz was my good friend and mentor, and I will miss him dearly.    I loved his sharpness of mind, and although I always knew my time with him was precious, this day comes with such sadness  and loss to know that I will never have another conversation with him.
