Hilda was born September 22, 1957 in Sinaloa, Mexico to Hilda and Pedro. Hilda married David Perez in 1978 and they together raised two daughters. Hilda worked as a social services worker for the County of San Diego for over twenty five years, where she was known for her quick wit, kindness, and humor.
Hilda loved music, good food, cooking, traveling, spending time with her family, and celebrating holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions. She loved learning, teaching, and being active in her church community.
Hilda is survived by her husband of 50 years, David, her daughters Hilda (Mark) and Crystal (Heather), as well as her two grandchildren Grant and Leo. She is also survived by her beloved sisters and brothers Leticia (Jack), Dolores (Roger), Teresa (Mario), Blanca (Esteban), Veronica (Jorge), Lili (Eduardo), Alfonso, and Rafael, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Hilda, and stepfather Alfonso.
Hilda’s memorial service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Eternal Hills Mortuary.
Hilda loved fiercely and lived life fully.
