Jack H. Hagler born March 13, 1921 in Twin Falls, Idaho and grew up in San Jose, CA with his mother, Frances and two brothers Edwin and Donald, nicknamed Kelly. In 1945 he married the love of his life Betta. They have one daughter Sandy and husband Cliff, 2 granddaughters, Julie and Jennifer, and 7 great-grandchildren.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and retired as a Captain after 20 years.
After obtaining his master's degree from the University of California San Diego, he taught 20 years in the San Diego and Oceanside School Districts at the elementary school level.
Jack loved travelling and he and Betta spent many vacations exploring England, Europe, China, Hawaii, Alaska, and cruising the Mediterranean. Dad's personal favorite was their two-week cruises from San Diego to Hawaii during Christmas time.
