Jael grew up in a large family and learned from a young age about responsibility and taking care of others. She took those lessons and transitioned into a career as a caretaker for over 35 years. To be a caretaker can be difficult but Jael was determined, resilient, and enjoyed supporting others when they were unable to care for themselves.
For over 30 years, Jael was an active member of The Life Church in Vista, CA. She enjoyed spending every Sunday amongst her loving church family. Her faith was central to her life, even when having health difficulties, she would take action throughout the week to prepare for Sunday. Jael was well-known for her tasteful, elegant, and colorful fashion. She found joy in thoughtfully crafting each outfit down to the little details. She delighted in spending time with her family and filling each moment with laughter. Jael touched so many with her acts of thoughtfulness, whether it was giving an allowance to her church grandchildren, insisting on doing her grandchildren’s laundry, or buying someone a gift just because it reminded her of them.
To describe such a woman with words is difficult because she is a person that is indescribable.
She had a zest for life, a sense of adventure, and filled conversations with laughter. Jael wasn’t interested in societal things but focused on the things she loved, the people she loved, and kept her eyes looking above.
She is survived by her brother Sam Quintania, her children: Deborah Armenta, Giselda Campbell, Dolores Dove, grandchildren: Christina Angell, Nicole Newman, Amber Stubblefield, Molly Campbell, Michael Dove Jr., Emily Dove, great grandchildren: Malaki Wheeler, Anastasia Stinson, Alaina Parsons, Mia Stubblefield, Rylee Stubblefield, Carter Stubblefield. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Dolores Quintania, siblings: Lou Torres, Linda Navarro, Nick Quintania, Joe Quintania, Paul Quintania, Junie Salas, and her sister in Christ Carmen Quintania.
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For Thou hast been a shelter for me and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Thy tabernacle forever; I will trust in the refuge of Thy wings. Selah (Psalm 61:1-4 KJV)
