Jesus Anes Abon passed away on June 23rd, 2025. Jessie was born on April 8th, 1942 to Eusebio and Marcela Abon as the first of seven siblings. Hailing from Barangay Sinait, Tarlac Philippines, he married his high school sweetheart, Esperanza Sevilla since 1961; this year on November 2025 would have been their 64the year anniversary. They built a modest life there in the countryside.
Jessie grew up in his parents Farm and helped in their farming hence his farming skills that his garden thrives. was blessed with the talent to grow anything in his garden. He did a number of honest blue collar jobs - from carpentry to welding - and even worked abroad in Saudi Arabia for over four years building greenhouses. He was a jack-of-all trade, able to sew/mend clothing as well as fix old bicycles.
In 1994 Jessie and Esper moved to California to be with their daughter, Wendy and her family. They worked as Care Providers until they finally retired in 2006. Jessie would spend his twilight years in Mission View Manor, tending to his garden and tinkering with bikes in his little garage. He will be remembered for his boisterous laugh and joviality and compassion. His legacy is to inspire others to take pride in hard, honest work, and to treat neighbors with kindness.
Jessie is survived by his wife, Esperanza, their three children Edwina/Wendy, Ariel and Buena, their grandchildren Earl, Jerich, Lester, Laila, Arjen , Aries, Noel, Joshua, Albert, and Ashley, and great-grandchildren Scarlet, Elaine, Kyle, Enzo, Kate, Kean, Nathan, Raegan and great grand pet Cotton.
