Jimmy Lee Perkins

Jimmy Lee Perkins was born at 7:47 pm in National City to Jim & Sofie Perkins. He passed away on August 25, 2026 at 7:47pm. Jimmy passed away at the age of 51 after battling three years with Cholangiocarcinoma Cancer, a rare form of cancer of the bile ducts. Jimmy always has big smiles and hugs, laughter, and was always there when someone needed support.

Jimmy started his family with his oldest son, Joel Perkins in 1993. In 2001, Jimmy married his wife, Marcia Perkins. Together they formed a family with her son, Christian Guerzon, and in 2005, the family grew with children Sofie and Isaiah Perkins. Jimmy was a loving and strong father and husband that gave guidance and warmth to his family every day.

Jimmy started his career working in 1993 for the William M. Perkins company as an apprentice, advanced to Foreman, and then to Supervisor. He became the owner in

2022. He was a leader, built connections, and had loyal relationships with his team and clients.

Jimmy enjoyed attending the Padre baseball games at Petco Park. He loved the cheering atmosphere and bringing along his family, friends, and clients for quality time. He has a love for music, he enjoyed going to music festivals and grooving to his favorite bands like Stick Figure and Rebelution. He enjoyed snowboarding with his sons and friends, going to Disneyland with his family, dabbling in painting and drawing, and relaxing by the ocean waves. His favorite things to do were always alongside his loved ones, each person that he spent time with was truly a friend to him. We will always cherish our memories with Jimmy, and honor the life that he built for his growing family that he’ll watch over.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in San Diego on Saturday, September 12, at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow at the church. St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church is located at 8350 Lake Murray Blvd., San Diego, CA 92119.
