

John R. "Jack" Davis ESCONDIDO / VISTA -- Our Father passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from natural causes. He had moved to Hemet to live with his daughter after the death of his wife Geraldine in August, 2011. John was born July 1, 1915 in Jackson, Mo. He moved to Pasadena, Calif., in 1937 and then to Vista in 1953. He met his wife in Pasadena and they married on October 11, 1941. He joined the Army Aircorp on October 7, 1940 and was stationed in England with the Weather Squadron from September, 1942 until the end of the war. "Jack" became a Master Plumber and worked for Hannah Plumbing and Carpenters Plumbing until his retirement in 1972. He then taught plumbing apprentices for ten years. He finally retired from work at the age of 80, his last job was with C & H Machine. John and Geraldine were very concerned for missionaries and missions. They were active in Community Church of Vista, San Dieguito Bible Church, and Emmanuel Faith Community Church. He was an honorable man and impressed all who met him with his integrity and his love of God. Jack is survived by his daughters, Penny (Rich) Couser, Dianne (Brad) Schram, and RaeNell (Jim) Pope. He has six grandchildren, Renee, Gina, Kate, Kirk, Tracey, and Troy; 17 great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his brother, Charles of Cape Girardeau, Mo. Services are pending.
