John Greer Jr.

Loving son of John Greer, Sr. (deceased) and Lucille Greer (Wilson).

He was baptized and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Jersey City, New Jersey. John completed grammar and high school. After graduation, he worked as an assistant locksmith and driver with his stepfather Silas Wilson. He later joined the Marine Corps and served until honorably discharged. John and his loving wife Brenda have three children: Joseph (Nallely), Mesa (Richard) and Nancy (David, deceased). John’s nine siblings are: Patricia Greer, Linda Greer (deceased), Valerie Greer, Lillian Cupidan, Brian Wilson, Lionel Wilson (deceased), Salli Wilson, Melodie Wilson-Robinson, Mark Wilson, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dear Brother,

My heart is heavy laden today

When I found out you had passed away

Another leaf has fallen from our extended family tree

We will always remember you

And the wonderful person you used to be

Our hearts are broken now inside

But only for a little while

Whenever I think of you and all the fun times we had

I know it will bring a smile

You were a beloved son, caring brother, extraordinary father and faithful husband
