Joe worked as a truck driver for 45+ years and delivered a variety of supplies such as plants, equipment, produce, etc. He drove millions of miles, including across the country, which led to one of his infamous sayings, “A walking Thomas Guide.”
Joe was an active parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle Parish, where he attended Mass every Sunday. His hobbies included going to the gym and watching football games. His true passion was being a loving father and grandfather, where he enjoyed spending his free time with his kids and grandkids. He was also a role model and father-figure to many, and touched many people’s hearts with a simple conversation.
He is preceded in death by his father, Benigno, and his mother, Socorro. He is survived by his wife Veronica, his sons Joey and Fabian, his daughter Brenda, and grandkids Waco, Isaac, Cattaleya, Joey, Laelia, and Julian.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Sharp Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion they showed their loved one in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend services on Thursday, September 3rd at Eternal Hills Memorial Park from 4-8PM and on Friday, September 5th at St. James Church from 11AM-12pm with a reception to follow after Mass at La Colonia Park.
