Katie Marinkovich Fiamengo was born on December 1, 1927 in the tiny village of Komiza, on the island of Vis in Croatia. She came to the United States following World War II. Soon after, in 1946, she married Andrew George Fiamengo. He predeceased her in 2005. They raised their family in San Pedro and San Marcos, California. Together they built their lives working in several family-owned businesses.
They retired to Rancho Bernardo, California in 1996. Since 2013, Katie has resided in Placentia, California.
On January 6, 2021, Katie departed this world to be with the Lord. She was devout in her religious worship as a Roman Catholic. Throughout her life Katie enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.
