Keith Wayne Hass

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Keith Hass, who entered into eternal rest on July 5, 2026, at the age of 82. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his remarkable legacy of love, generosity, mentorship, and unwavering belief in others will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched.

Keith was born on February 3, 1944, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. From an early age, he embodied the values that would define his life—hard work, integrity, perseverance, humility, and an unwavering love for people. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserve, carrying that same spirit of service, honor, and commitment with him throughout his life.

Keith built an extraordinary career centered around people. Whether with Cordon Bleu, Mello Smello, or later through Hass Team Realty, he became known as an exceptional salesman, entrepreneur, innovator, and leader. Yet those who knew him best understood that his greatest success was never measured by awards or sales—it was measured by the people he inspired.

To know Keith was to be encouraged.

He possessed the rare ability to recognize potential in others long before they recognized it in themselves. He generously shared his knowledge, celebrated the successes of those around him, and quietly helped countless people build careers, businesses, confidence, and brighter futures. Many have shared that Keith didn’t simply mentor them—he changed the direction of their lives.

Keith believed that helping others succeed was life’s greatest achievement. His wisdom, encouragement, and belief in people created a ripple effect that will continue for generations. Friends described him as an innovator, a visionary, a teacher, and a man who genuinely wanted everyone he met to succeed.

Outside of work, Keith was known for opening both his home and his heart. He loved gathering family and friends, sharing stories that could captivate a room, enjoying a competitive game of pool, spending time at the beach, and creating memories with those he loved. His warmth, kindness, quick smile, and infectious laugh made everyone feel welcome.

Perhaps Keith’s greatest accomplishment was not what he built—but the people he built up.

Thirty-six years ago, Keith met the love of his life, Robbie Calderon, in Long Beach, California, though both were living in Hawaii at the time. Together they built a beautiful marriage rooted in unwavering devotion, friendship, laughter, faith, and unconditional love. Keith adored Robbie, and she was his greatest blessing. Anyone who knew them witnessed a love built on respect, partnership, and unwavering support.

Keith was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, trusted mentor, loyal friend, and a steady source of strength to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He loved deeply, gave freely, and always placed others before himself.

Keith is lovingly survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Robbie Calderon Hass; his sons, Ryan Hass and Brandon Kam; his stepdaughter, Angela Calderon; and his cherished grandchildren, Myka, Kira, Willow, River, Storm, Faith, Dakota and great grandson Tyee, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind extended family, countless dear friends, colleagues, and former protégés whose lives are forever richer because of his love, guidance, and generosity.

Those closest to Keith have called him an innovator, mentor, teacher, visionary, leader, and inspiration. They remember a man whose confidence was contagious, whose wisdom was freely given, and whose belief in others often became the reason they believed in themselves.

One friend wrote that Keith “always saw more in me than I saw in myself.”

Another shared, “He wanted anyone he met to succeed.”

There may be no greater testament to a life than that.

Keith leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves behind a legacy carried forward in every life he encouraged, every dream he helped ignite, every family he welcomed into his home, and every person who became better simply because they knew him.

His life was measured not by what he accumulated, but by what he gave away—his time, his wisdom, his compassion, and his unwavering belief in others.

Although our hearts ache in his absence, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a man whose influence will continue for generations.
