Sonny was born and raised in Plainfield, Indiana, son of Kenneth C. and Reca Jane Wells Embs. Shortly after school he found his way to Encinitas, CA. where he worked in the construction industry. He lived in Escondido his last 20 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter and grandson. With his quiet and gentle demeanor, he was loved by many. He will be dearly missed and forever cherished. His four sisters preceded him in death. Sonny is survived by his daughter, Taylor, grandson, Lucky, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place July 6 at Alano Club of Escondido, 1690 E. Valley Pkwy, Escondido (next to Joanne Fabrics) at 1:15 p.m.
