
Born and raised in Riceville, IA he started adult life living and working in Cedar Rapids from where he enlisted and served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. After his military service he graduated from the University of Iowa and then earned a master’s degree and teaching certificate at University of Northern Iowa. He taught at Newton High School for 15 years before retiring to Prescott, AZ where he operated his antiques and clock repair business. Before settling in Oceanside with his wife of 30 years, Coy Carlon Green, they spent 2 years in Ankeny, IA to be close to her family and fast growing grandchildren.
Tony is survived by Coy, sisters Charlotte Quinn, Punta Gorda, FL and Vicki Davenport, Cedar Rapids, IA, brother John (Anne), Denver, CO, stepchildren Lynae Millette (Jon), Cape Coral, FL, Christopher Baker (Char), Rochester, NY, Bradley Baker (Julie), Spring, TX and numerous nieces and nephews residing around the country.
He is preceded in death by parents Leo and Helen Green and sister Karen Green Foy.
Services are private under the direction of Eternal Hills.
