Lily M. Neris died at the age of 88 on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at her home in Oceanside where she lived for 35 years. She was born in Jerome, AZ on April 22, 1931 the tenth child of twelve children to Leonora Ramirez Mendivil of AZ and Refugio Mendivil from Mexico. Lily’s husband, MGySgt Peter J. Neris, USMC Retired, died in July 2006 after 60 years of marriage. She devoted her time to her four children: John Neris from Murrieta, CA, Alex Neris from Las Vegas, NV, Irene Smith from Lathrop, CA, and Peter J. Neris, Jr. from Oceanside, CA. She was a doting grandmother to her 5 grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Lily was preceded in death by all her siblings but leaves behind three sisters-in-law: Anna Mendivil, Juanita Reynozo, and Carmen Reynozo. Funeral services will be at noon on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Church of Christ at 709 Leonard Ave, Oceanside, CA followed by the burial at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, CA.
