Louise Sullivan McIntyre

Mrs. Louise Sullivan McIntyre, 98, died of natural causes on Saturday June 11th at her home in Oceanside. Louise was born in Cincinnati Ohio on January 29th, 1924 to George Washington and Bertha McDaniels Sullivan. On January 18th, 1947 she married Harry McIntyre Jr. They were blessed with 5 children: Carol L, Patricia A, Harriet L, Harry J and Brenda R.

Louise worked as a hydraulic tester at Patterson Field located in Fairfield, Ohio from 1942-45; a control clerk at Hickman Field, Honolulu from 1945-47; a clerk typist at Patterson field, Fairfield, Ohio 1947-49; and a secretary at Camp LeJeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina in 1951-56.

The McIntyre family moved to Oceanside in 1961. In 1972 she received her associates degree from Mira Costa College in Auditing, then graduated from the National Tax Practice Institution in 1989.

Mrs. Louise McIntyre worked as a bookkeeper at Mission Bowl from 1973-79. Beginning in 1974 she started her own income tax service, LSM Income Tax Service, and continued until 2008.

She was very active in the community with the following organizations: Oceanside Human Relations Committee (1970 Brd of Dir's), Armed Forces YMCA-Oceanside (1969-71), Oceanside Christian Women's Club (1988-91), North county Concert Association Aux. (1993-96), PTA (active), Girl Scouts-U.S., Inland Society of Tax Consultant (Brd of Dir's1988...), American Society of Women Accountants (VP 1989-90), Enrolled Agents-Palomar, National Association of Enrolled Agents, National Society of Public Accountants, California Assn. Independent Accts, Palmquist (Hon. Life Mem.). Louise enjoyed bowling, dancing, crafts, Interior decorating and cake decorating

Mrs. McIntyre was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn McIntyre in 1984, and her husband Mr. Harry McIntyre Jr. in 2007. She is survived by her daughter's: Pat, Harriet, Brenda; her son Harry; and her 6 grand children Christy, Ronald, David, Katherine, Van, and Claire.

Viewing is scheduled from 4pm to 8 pm June 29th at Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real in Oceanside.1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054. A grave site service will be held at 10am June 30th at Eternal Hills Mortuary Park. Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
