Born on Jan. 28, 1940, Lydia began a journey that would eventually bring her to the USA in the early 1960s.She proudly became a U.S. citizen in the 1990s and made Carlsbad, CA, her home beginning in 1981, where she built a life centered on family, love, and tradition.
In 1970, Lydia married the love of her life, George Serrano. They shared more than 40 years of marriage until George's passing in 2011. Together they created loving, family memories.
Lydia was a devoted mother to her daughters, Stella and Gina, and was blessed with four grandchildren who brought endless happiness to her life: Taylor & Ashlyn, Stella's children, and Maddy & Evie, Gina's children. She also treasured her sons-in-law, Dave & Jose, who became beloved members of the family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
