
Born in Utica, New York, on January 7, 1933, Marian attended and graduated from Poland Central High School. She continued her education at Cortland State University and Utica College of Syracuse University before completing a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration at Cal Poly State University and a Master’s degree in Developmental Therapy.
Marian dedicated her career to helping others, working on a statewide developmental training team that traveled throughout California to train direct-line staff. She published a training manual and eventually launched her own private consulting business, serving numerous individuals over the course of her career.
In 1981, she married David Loop. Following her retirement, Marian and David relocated to Oceanside, California, in 2000 to enjoy their retirement years. She was a deeply involved member of North Coast Church and was exceptionally active at her local YMCA, where she established a Widows and Widowers support group.
Marian was a beloved mother to James, Michael, Carla, Laureen, Rebecca, Christine, Gene, and Cynthia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; her son, James; and her daughter, Laureen.
She is survived by her children, Michael, Carla, Rebecca, Christine, Gene, and Cynthia; as well as 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Loved by many, Marian stood out as a woman of profound wisdom, vibrant energy, and strong resilience. She was truly the life of the party, with a love for attending plays, musical events, and tearing up the dance floor. Above all, she cherished God, her family, and everyone around her.
Services will be held at North Coast Church in Vista, CA, on August 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
