Marietta E. Miller passed away on February 14, 2018. She was a resident of Vista since the 1930’s. Her parents Nickolas & Anna Ries purchased property in Vista in the 1930’s but also had a working farm in Conrad, Montana. They would travel back and forth multiple times throughout the years. Marietta graduated from Conrad High School in 1944 and Palomar College in 1948. She worked for a local judge until she married Alfred Roberts on January 15, 1955. She was a homemaker for many years raising four daughters in the same home in Vista where she lived for over 60 years. She was also an accomplished seamstress. When Alfred passed away suddenly in 1988 she remarried Marion Miller in 1990 who she was married to until his passing in 2004. They were all very active in the Knights of Columbus with St. Francis Catholic Church for many years.
Marietta is survived by her daughters Deborah Allen, Donna Lewis, Karen Asmus and Rose Kautz as well as, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
