

Marty graduated from Rancho Buena Vista High School in Vista, CA. He excelled in wrestling, winning a freshman tournament at Poway High School. Marty mainly worked security and as a warehouse employee of Pirch.
Marty is survived by his wife, Daniela Lee, and children Martin Junior, Isabelle, Richie, and Eva Tanguma of Oceanside. He also leaves a stepson, Jordan Novoa of San Marcos, CA.
Marty is survived by his parents, Marty and Ginnie Tanguma of Oceanside, and sister, Alana Pratt and nephew, Marshall Pratt of Healdsburg, CA. Marty is survived by two grandmothers: Pauline Tanguma and Jane Baylard, both of Oceanside. Marty is also survived by an aunt, Barbara Baylard of Santa Rosa, CA and two uncles, Robert P. Baylard, and Richard N. Baylard, both from Hemet, CA. He also leaves numerous cousins.
Marty was preceded in death by his two grandfathers: Candelario Tanguma and Robert W. Baylard.
Serving as pallbearers are Jordan Novoa, Junior Tanguma, Richie Tanguma, Richie Baylard, Jose Hernandez, Keith Thompson, Mick Escamilla, and Adam Kyota.
The funeral for Martin Anthony Tanguma will be held at St. Patrick Church in Carlsbad, CA, on Thursday, April 4, 2024. The address is 3821 Adams Street. The viewing is from 9:30am - 10:30am. The rosary is from 10:30am - 11:00am, and the mass will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm.
Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Eternal Hills Memorial Park at 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
