Mary Catherine Hinshaw

Mary Catherine Hinshaw passed away Friday, April 13th, 2018 in the comfort of her home in the presence of her loving family. She was born April 12th, 1938 in Burlington Colorado, daughter of Nelson and Ruth Cloutier.

Mary received a Bachelor’s degree at Wichita State University and a Master’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado in Music Education. She taught elementary through middle school instilling a love of music in generations of kids through musical performance. She authored, produced, and performed numerous student musicals, some of which have been copy written.

Mary was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, DAR, and National Music Association. She was an accomplished pianist who adored family and friends. She loved to spend time traveling, attending plays and musicals, reading, and routing for her favorite football teams. She was outgoing, loving, caring, and endlessly devoted to taking care of her family. She could always be depended on to be positive, optimistic, and supportive.

Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, Roger Hinshaw and son Chris and his wife Kate, and their two sons Chase and Shane Hinshaw, along with her Sisters-In-Law Marcy Okerman, and Vicki Elledge.

A Memorial and graveside service will be held on Friday May 4th, 2018 at 10am at Eternal Hills Mortuary,
