Maurice Deshaun Smith

Maurice D. Smith, born on December 5, 1981, in Oceanside, California. He was a well-mannered young man, full of humor who enjoyed singing, dancing, reading, writing, and taking long trips to the beach. He was called home to glory on January 17, 2019 at home in National City, CA.

Maurice is survived by his mother, Beverly Williams and step-father, Jerry Williams; his sisters LaTesha Henderson and Tiara Smith; his aunts, Valerie Williams and Karen Smith; and his uncle, Timothy Smith; his nephew, Marcellus Henderson; and his nieces, Aniyah Henderson, and Janelle Smith. He also leaves his grandmother, Ophelia Smith; and a host of cousins.

Funeral services to be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California. The Viewing will be Tuesday, January 29th from 4-8pm, and a Homegoing Celebration will be on Wednesday, January 30th at 1:00pm. The family will have a private interment.

Maurice , yes you were a funny little boy when I met you . You cracked me up . And that laugh of yours made me laugh more . That is what lives on in my memory of you Maurice laughing and joking . But you also, we're very respectful you knew your mama did not play foolishness . REST ON BABY until that Great getting up morning in which all who have made Jesus their Lord and Savior will see and be with you FOREVERMORE . PRAISE HIM BABY WITH THE JOY YOU WERE GIVEN . I remember maurice he was a funny youngman always clowning around when i met him at the boys and girls club and later when he attended oside high he was never a troublemaker but boy he loved to clown and joke around he always was laughing and joking .when he use to be in ocs I use tell him don't have call your mom and auntie on you maurice....... he would laugh , smile and say alright I be good . My condolences to his Mother,sisters ,his family and friends
