Nob was born in Los Angeles to Shigeo and Haruye Tanouye on June 9, 1931. He went to San Dieguito Highschool and graduated in the Class of 1949. Following graduation, he served in the US Army during the Korean War. In January 1958, he married Aiko Noguchi in Los Angeles. They resided in Fallbrook and then Temecula. He worked most of his life as a strawberry and tomato farmer.
Nob is proceeded in death by his wife Aiko and his parents Shigeo and Haruye.
Nob is survived by his daughters Becky Tanouye and Debra Tanouye and his son Nicholas Tanouye; grandchildren Mary, Charlie and Sabrina Tanouye; sisters Ritsuye Standefer and Sachiko Sutton; nephew Douglas Nakama, his wife Janine and their kids Kanoa and Kai.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on March 6, 2020 at the Eternal Hills Mortuary/Chapel. A burial will follow at the Eternal Hills Cemetery.
