
She came to the United States in 1968 after marrying the love of her life, Heriberto Castro, with whom she shared 57 years of devoted marriage.
In 1970, she gave her life to Christ and was baptized by her pastor Fortino Garza, beginning a lifelong walk of faith that shaped every aspect of her life. A loyal and true servant of God, she led by example—her kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion serving as a testament to God’s love. She touched countless lives through her gentle spirit and steadfast faith.
A gifted cook, she will be lovingly remembered for the meals she prepared with care, each one a reflection of her love and desire to gather her family around the table. A homemaker throughout her life, she dedicated herself to serving her family in every way she could. Her greatest joy came from caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her warmth, generosity, and guidance.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband, Heriberto Figueroa Castro, her daughters Irma Cano, Ana Castro, Anita Romero, Nydia Castro and her sons Roberto Castro, Ruben Castro and sister Irma Dominguez
Her grandchildren are Benjamin Cano, Paulo Cano, Natasha Cano, Eduardo Cano, Tito Castro, Marcos Castro, Alexis Cerda, Dominic Castro, Samantha Romero, Diego Romero, Nydia Garcia, Noah Garcia,Mateo Garcia and Lucia Castro
